Partner Kevin Allen Chairs Defense Research Institute’s 2024 Governmental Liability Seminar in Phoenix, AZ

Partner Kevin P. Allen recently chaired the Defense Research Institute’s 2024 Governmental Liability Seminar in Phoenix, AZ. DRI is the largest international attorney membership organization dedicated to defending businesses, governmental entities, and individuals in civil litigation. Mr. Allen and DRI colleagues created a program covering a wide range of issues, including: how to handle police claims from “Day 1;” the latest trends in unhoused litigation; the science of the use-of-force; and the most recent updates in qualified immunity. Attendees could also participate in use-of-force simulations offered by VirTra and Axon, thereby experiencing law enforcement split-second decision-making.

More than 300 people attended the multi-day conference, including attorneys, government personnel, and claims professionals. The Seminar was eligible for both CLE and CE credits.

AGHW congratulates Mr. Allen on a successful seminar and is proud of his efforts to expand education and knowledge in the area of governmental law. The Firm was well-represented in Phoenix, with associates Dana K. Oium and Ameet D. Patel also in attendance.

Mr. Allen previously served as Vice-Chair of the Governmental Liability Seminar (2023) and Marketing Chair for the Governmental Liability Committee.
