John Robinson is a member of the public entity team. In 2003, Mr. Robinson enlisted in the United States Marine Corps after high school and served as an infantry squad leader. Following multiple deployments, including training Iraqi police officers, he earned the Letter of Accommodation for superior performance conducting peace keeping missions and his second combat action ribbon. In 2007, he was honorably discharged as a Corporal and returned to school where he earned his B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of South Carolina. In 2010, Mr. Robinson moved to San Francisco to attend the Honor’s Lawyering Program at Golden Gate University Law School using the Yellow Ribbon Scholarship Program for military veterans returning to school. In 2014, Mr. Robinson was hired by the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office after he completed two internships with the office in 2011 and 2012. As a prosecutor, he handled all aspects of misdemeanor and felony cases, including preliminary hearings and trials. During his time as a deputy district attorney, Mr. Robinson tried 29 trials (13 jury) to verdict.
